Windsor Castle

Everyone arrived safe and sound in London/Heathrow today. Since the kids had lots of energy, and to help get accustom to the time zone change, the choir toured Windsor Castle. The tour guide said it was unusually warm today. However, the 68 deg. F. felt quite cool having left 109 deg. F. Tucson behind.

A beautiful day for a tour of Windsor Castle

St. George's Gate at Windsor Castle

To celebrate the Queen's 90th birthday, there was a contest of Pleine Air painters on the lawn.

The Queen's banner was flying, which means Her Majesty was home. We waved, but didn't see her wave back.

The Royal Guards came marching by at a quick pace, and everyone cleared out of their way.

  1. Some highlights from yesterday were the youth trying to keep each other awake while riding on the bus by playing "connect" and other thought games. Another event was walking through Worcester with our suitcases---choristers parading through town! Boy, did we get some looks!! We invited townfolk to come hear us sing at Evensong this week.
